Aloha from Hawaii!
We had received a Christmas Jar 4 years ago. That summer we bought a brand new car, moved into our home that we live in now. I had lost my job as a MA after Thanksgiving. We were struggling with our bills and putting food on our table.
Christmas that year for me was not of hope, peace and joy. And my heart and mind was not focused on our Christ, Jesus. It was filled with sadness and stress. I slowly felt that I was losing my faith in Heavenly Father, I felt like I was alone. Until one evening, I heard my doorbell ring. I went downstairs to see who it was.
I had opened my front door and no one was there. I was about to close the door when I got an impression to look down on the porch. That’s when I saw a jar by my steps with a note.
At first, I thought it was a jar full of Christmas cookies that maybe my ministering sisters had left for me. I picked up the jar and I saw there were lots of monetary bills in it.
Then, I started to read the note. It had said, “We ran away after ringing your doorbell. We hope are faces you could not tell. Don’t try to find out who we are. We just want to give you this Christmas jar. We hope this money helps in someway. We hope it will brighten up your Christmas Day. Merry Christmas.”
With tears in my eyes and my heart was filled with love and gratitude for this family or person(s). I couldn’t wait to show my husband, I ran up the stairs. Called my granddaughter to come into the other room, and gave the jar to my husband. All of a sudden, I didn’t feel alone anymore. I felt Heavenly Father’s love.
Receiving this Christmas jar made me realize that I am not alone. I know that He sees my struggles, He hears my prayers and that He put angels on my path to let know that He is there. I just needed to open my spiritual eyes to see and my heart to feel that He is there for me. Every time, I tell this story to someone I still feel the same way I felt that day I received my Christmas Jar. In 2020, we had passed that Christmas Jar to someone else and hope that they will do the same.
Merry Christmas & Happy New Year
