Pacific, Missouri—
Not me but my neighbor received a jar. Jerry (73 year old retiree) has recently moved into our neighborhood and has established himself as a proud American who is a caring and giving person. Jerry came to our neighborhood ready to spend his remaining days of his life in a better place than what he had (living in the back of his pickup truck).
Jerry came with the clothes on his back and very few personal items. He is a man of simple needs and is willing to share his table with whomever is in need. This morning he asked me to come in so he could show me a jar that was left on his doorstep last night. The jar was filled with money, lots of silver coins and a few paper bills. He showed me the note which was inside the jar. It was a hand written note which wished him a Merry Christmas and had Christmasjars.com written on it.
Words can’t describe his emotions other than jubilation. Who ever was responsible for this gift remains anonymous but Jerry is very grateful. He doesn’t have a means of communication (phone or computer) so I’m sharing his story for him. They couldn’t have found a better person to share their spare change with.
So for Jerry, thank you from the bottom of his heart.
