San Bernardino, California—
I love the books; Christmas Jars and Christmas Jars Reunion. I love giving Christmas Jars & the Book or Books. I find joy in the goal of filling two jars each year or so, one jar with only shiny coins and the other with less then shiny coins. I even love giving jars with just a poem (I found online) and a roll of shiny new pennies.
My circle of friends and I are on fixed incomes, making it hard to give Christmas Gifts and sometimes even harder to fill a jar or two each calendar year. Last year my jars weren’t completely filled by Christmas so I decided I’d wait until they were filled before giving them away. Early this year (2019) I was blessed with the names of a couple families who could use a little help. I decided to give to them for “UnChristmas” or “1/2 Way to Christmas”, June 25th! What a blessing it was to me; it gave me the opportunity to remember how blessed I’ve been and to enjoy the Spirit of Giving mid year.
Giving Christmas Jars are a great way to remind people on fixed incomes that they too CAN give gifts if they’ll choose to save a little each month. I love hearing of the joyful experiences of those who’ve been moved to do so after reading the Christmas Jars!
