Odessa, Missouri—
A couple years ago a good friend of mine from church and her Sunday school class save money all year and put it into a jar and then she bought the book the Christmas jar’s and they picked someone who needed it and gave it to them. This inspired me to start my own tradition of the Christmas jar. Last year I picked my niece who had recently got married and they were struggling getting enough hours and after having moved to another state. This year I did a twist on it, LOL. I bought a stocking and I bought a plastic Christmas jar from dollar tree and I filled it all year long and I placed the Christmas jar full of money bills and change and I wrapped it Christmas paper and I put it in the bottom of the stocking at the toe And I filled it the rest of the way with Candy and goodies and I placed a Christmas card in it not saying who it was from and then I placed the stocking in a gift bag and I wrote their names on it and I went to church and placed it on The table where we place our secret sister gifts so no one would know that it came from me. There family goes to my church and so were able to take it to them.
