Montevallo, Alabama —

I was laid off for 3 months and only just recently returned to work. One of our cars was repossessed because we could not afford to make the payments. Suffice this holiday season has been difficult. My husband messaged me to say that we had a random jar of money and the book “Christmas Jars” in our mailbox. Perplexed, I researched the book and found that it is apparently a tradition and done anonymously. I am taken back by the kind gesture and have no clue who would do that because our neighbors don’t know our situation. We will be collecting our coins next year and paying it forward. I don’t know who did this for us but it was extremely kind and we will use it to purchase what we are able to for our 2 young boys.
