Great tradition that we hope will continue on for years

Rupert, Idaho

My husband and I got married in June 2007. That December my husband came home from a graveyard shift to see our mailbox open. He stopped to shut it and found a box. He brought it in and woke me up. Inside the box was a large peanut butter jar and a small jam jar full of money, a card, a postcard, a bookmark, and a copy of The Christmas Jars book. It was a blessing. Since then, my mom, siblings, and my family all pitch in money to a jar at my mom’s house. My grandma also saves up all her change to give with our jar. It’s a great tradition that we hope will continue on for years to come!
