Our book club read the book several years ago. I have continued the tradition of giving a jar since then. My granddaughter who is now 11, noticed the jars a few years ago. She checks the progress and helps me find the person who should receive the jar each year. That in turn has included her mother, my daughter. I just got an email from her saying to bring the jar to her, she knows who should receive it. So the lesson the generosity has gone beyond my reading of the book. It is a wonderful life lesson for my granddaughter and a loving tradition that will be carried on for years. Thank you, Mr. Wright, for the writing the book.
