Christmas Jars Story: ‘This was a blessing this morning’

West Jordan, UT:
I had not heard of Christmas Jars till this morning when my husband left for work and found a box on our porch. It contained a jar full of coins and then various containers of candy, a card with some gift certificates to build a bear for our kids and a copy of your book Christmas Jars. Our jar totaled about $150.

My husband quit his job this last spring to pursue a business opportunity we were hoping would work out and didn’t . We have been trying to make ends meet and do everything we can to make mortgage each month. We have been so blessed by family and neighbors and overwhelmed at the acts of service we have received through out the year. This was a blessing this morning as we have a couple of bills we haven’t been able to figure out payment yet this month.

What a wonderful thing you have inspired as well as a reminder to serve others every time you put change in the jar. I look forward to reading your book and attempting as a family to start a jar to share with someone next year. Here is hoping to a better year!

Merry Christmas!
