Morehead, Kentucky:

I received a Christmas Jar in the year of 2009. My
husband had just had his 2nd surgery in less than

a year. We were struggling financially and spiritually.

I am a teacher and had found what I thought was a
fruit basket on my desk. I was surprised to find in
the basket, a jar of dollars and coins! Along with the
jar was a copy of the book, Christmas Jars. It was
truly inspiring and I have continued the tradition
each year since. I’ve even included my students
in helping raise money for our own Christmas Jar.
